new stroller

well, with the addition of a new little one coming, we decided we probably needed to purchase a double stroller to make things easier... haha! well, i had been looking around and they are quite pricey, and we just could not afford one. i had looked around at a few second hand stores to begin with, but they didn't have any and i had checked with a few friends, but they were either still using their's or they had already gotten rid of them. well, i went back to one of the second hand stores and when i was there the lady told me about one that her dad had brought in, but it was really old and dirty and everything. well, she originally told me i could have it if i really wanted it, for $10.00 so i went home and talked to jason about it and i went back almost 2 weeks later. normally she sells double strollers within 2-3 days... she still had this one, in fact, she never even offered it to anyone else (it was really bad!). so, i took another look at it and i asked her if she knew how easily everything came off, and she asked if i just wanted to know to wash it, or what. i told her i really didn't like the material on it, because it had tomatoes and abstract art on it and it looked really... old! so, i told her my mom had offered to redo it for me and cover it. she then told me if i was going to go thru all that work, i could have it for $5.00. it was sold! i wasn't sure what i wanted to recover it with though. so, this called for a shopping trip! well, i couldn't find a better excuse! so, i went to walmart and found some material that i liked and sent the box to my mom a few days later. meanwhile, i had already washed down the stroller and was still looking at prices of some. we went out of town and we saw some at another second hand baby store, but they were pretty dirty too and they wanted $65.00 for the cheapest one and went up to $185.00 for the more expensive nicer one. well, when my mom got the box she started immediately working on the recovering and would call me constantly with updates as to how far she was. it only took her about 3 days to recover everything, and another 2-3 days to put the binding on by hand. she sent the box back and this is our beautiful stroller... good job mom! thanks! thank heaven for an excited oma who loves to do things for her grandchildren!

alltogether with the material and the
stroller and everything we spent about
$15.00 + oma's time and love and effort=
PRICELESS!
