well, on wednesday night i started having, what i thought were, contractions and was feeling uncomfortable. on thursday morning i decided that i should probably go into the dr. so, at about 9:00 on thursday i went to the dr. and they hooked me up to the machines to monitor the baby and me and sure enough, i was having little contractions fairly often. this is waaayyyyyyyy too early, since i'm not due 'till aug., so they put me on a couple different medications to stop the contractions, so for now i'm supposed to take it easy and no lifting or doing much activity. i'm not on total bedrest yet, but the dr. said if i don't slow down, she'll put me on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy. they also found out that my amniotic fluid is a little low. i really need to hydrate more and take it easy. i also went in that afternoon for an ultrasound and i got a really cool 3-d picture of the baby.
the u.s. tech had to cut her little hands out of the picture because she kept putting them in front of her face, but this was the best we could get at that time. i do have to go back in 2 weeks or so and get another u.s., so maybe we'll get another 3-d and get a better one... we can sure hope!

well, then this weekend i was having a pain in my left side and my sister-in-law convinced me that i should go in and have it checked out, so i went in to the hospital and got checked out. they listened to the baby and to me and said everything sounded fine, so they sent us home, and told us not to worry. meanwhile, this all really takes a toll on the big, fat, pregnant momma! needless to say, we are all very worn out! jacob is really crabby today! daddy is tired, he got to do some of mommy's "chores" because she couldn't, so he's feeling it and i'm just exhausted! but in just a couple months, this will all be over and we'll be enjoying our new little girl in person!
